No offer can be made to any potential employee before administrative approvals.

Potential employees cannot begin work and cannot receive "back pay" for any work prior to the date their employment is approved at Center Administration.

Each year CBL's Business Office updates the FRA Salary Guidelines that summarizes salary policies for all faculty support staff.

Exceptions because of scientific discipline, special expertise or extenuating circumstances should be discussed with the Lab Director before advertising. Exceptions to the support faculty salary guidelines can be made at the discretion of the Director.

Note that all new non-hourly employees must have a retirement plan selected prior to their first day of work. Please notify the HR Coordinator sufficiently prior to your prospective employee's start date for them to receive the information and make an informed decision. Other basic hiring practices and policies remain the same.
